Daniel Csengery is a multi-award-winning, highly versatile composer based in Budapest, Hungary. He is a classically trained composer and conductor with extensive experience across a wide range of musical styles. He is well known among Hungarian film directors for his strong sense of dramaturgy, musical storytelling, and inventive melodic writing. He has composed music for nine feature films, several short films, TV series, commercials, and numerous theatrical productions.
International productions are also beginning to discover his talent: he created arrangements for Pablo Larraín’s Maria and composed jazz tracks for Annabel Jenken’s Desperate Journey.
He is also active as a classical composer and conductor. His award-winning opera Mother Holle reached 21 performances at the prestigious Palace of Arts in Budapest. He is a lecturer at the Ferenc Liszt Academy of Music, where he teaches film music analysis.
